The last year and a half hasn’t been easy for companies and entrepreneurs.
The SMEs and the protagonists of the Lombard territory craftsmanship are well aware of this, and they have suffered important repercussions during the pandemic.
The Lombardy Region has thus decided to meet these companies, promoting new incentives to support activities interested in investing in the digital transition , in the green transition and in safety at work.
The region is ready to allocate 10 million euros as a grant, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Who will be able to benefit from these incentives? What is it about in detail? Let’s go in order …
Who is the call for?
The loans are reserved for Lombard SMEs wishing to invest in their own development and relaunch in one of these areas:
- Digital transition
- Green transition
- Work safety . This agreement also in the context of Covid-19, relating to modernization interventions and / or ordinary and extraordinary interventions aimed at maintaining the efficiency of proprietary plants and machinery
In detail, the call is aimed at two specific categories , identified as Line A and Line B, namely Artisans and Internal Areas. Here they are in detail:
- Line A: Artisans. This line is aimed at Artisan SMEs …
- with legal and / or operational headquarters subject to the intervention in Lombardy
- duly registered and active in the Business Register for over 24 months
- Line B: Internal Areas. Line aimed at SMEs …
- with headquarters subject to the grant in one of the internal areas of the Lombardy Region :
- Alta Valtellina and Valchiavenna
- Lombard Apennines – Oltrepò Pavese and Valli del Lario
- Upper Lake Como
- which belong to one of the following sectors:
- artisan businesses
- sectors I55.1 – hotels and similar structures, I55.3 – camping areas and areas equipped for campers and caravans, I55.20.30 – mountain refuges
- sector I.56 – catering and administration services activities with the exception of code I.56.29 – canteens and continuous catering on a contractual basis.
- with headquarters subject to the grant in one of the internal areas of the Lombardy Region :

What figures are we talking about?
The financial endowment is 10 million euros as a grant from the European Regional Development Fund – ERDF .
Of these 10 million, 3.8 are reserved for companies based in one of the internal areas of the Lombardy Region: Alta Valtellina and Valchiavenna, Lombard Apennines – Oltrepò Pavese and Valli del Lario – Upper Lake Como.
What are the characteristics of the facility?
For both lines the granting of a non-repayable grant equal to 50% of the eligible expenses is envisaged . The maximum contribution is € 40,000.
The eligible interventions are investments of a minimum of € 15,000 , to be reported by October 28, 2022 .
The billed expenses must be receipted after the date of submission of the application.

How to participate in the call?
The application for participation in the call must be submitted on the online Bandi platform , following the indications on the times and methods in the implementation notice, which will be published within the first 10 days of September 2021.
The desk for the submission of applications will instead be open within the first 10 days of October 2021.
Within 90 days from the date of submission of the application, the Lombardy Region will accept or reject the various requests , possibly proceeding with the granting of the subsidy intervention.
